Market Update - Bharti Airtel down 4%, SBI Life Falls 12%, Sensex gains 200 pts

Bharti Airtel shares slumped by nearly 4% to hit Rs 305.55 on NSE after the firm finalised a fund-raising plan of up to Rs 32,000 crore through a combination of Rs 25,000-crore rights issue and a Rs 7,000-crore perpetual bonds float to build a war chest to reduce debt.  Over the last 30 days, the BHARTI AIRTEL share price is up 2.3%. And over the last one year, BHARTI AIRTEL share price is down 27.0%. SBI Life Falls 12% -  After 35 Block Deals Shares of SBI Life Insurance fell as much as 12.1 per cent, the worst fall since its listing on Bombay Stock Exchange, to Rs 510. Market open: Sensex, Nifty Open Higher,Realty Shares Rally

Market open: Sensex, Nifty Open Higher Indian equity benchmarks opened higher following gains in their Asian peers after the U.S. President Donald Trump postponed the date for boosting tariffs on Chinese imports. The S&P BSE Sensex Index rose as much as 0.43 per cent to 36,027 and the NSE Nifty 50 Index rose as much as 0.32 per cent to 10,826.35. The market breadth was tilted in favour of buyers. About 970stocks advanced and 459 shares declined on the National Stock Exchange. All the sectoral gauges compiled by NSE advanced, led by the NSE Nifty Realty Index’s 2.1 per cent gain. Sun Pharma Top Performer On Sensex -   Nifty Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. was the top performer on Sensex and Nifty. The stock rose as much as 3.2 per cent to Rs 430. The drugmaker’s U.S. subsidiary, Taro Pharma reported its quarterly results for the three months ended December.  At 09:18 hrs Sun Pharmaceutical Industries was quoting at Rs 425.95, up Rs 10.55, or 2.54 per cent, on the BSE. Infosys hits record high;- The stock breaks above resistance at Rs 759.8, the 50 per cent Fibonacci projection level of the uptrend from August 22, 2017 low to October 1, 2018 high.
