Stock market News - Bloodbath on D-St as Nifty below 11,300, Sensex plunges 1,100 pts

All the sectoral indices slipped between 1 to 3 percent. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices down over 2 percent each. Market Opens :   Indian indices continue to remain under pressure for the sixth consecutive day on February 28 with Nifty slipped below 11,400 on the back worries over outbreak of Coronavirus. At 09:17 hrs IST, the Sensex is down 1,071.62 points or 2.70% at 38674.04, and the Nifty down 319.80 points or 2.75% at 11313.50. About 110 shares have advanced, 873 shares declined, and 31 shares are unchanged.  Top losers are Tata Motors, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, Yes Bank, Gail and M&M. Rupee Opens : The Indian rupee slipped in the early trade on Friday. Market - Titan Gains ,Godrej Properties up 5%,IndusInd Bank, Yes Bank shares surge

Titan Gains -  After Q4 Sales Jump Shares of the jewellery maker rose as much as 2.13 per cent to Rs 1,129.70. The company’s sales increased 21 per cent, while Jewellery segment rose 22 per cent in the previous financial year, in line with expectations, according to its stock exchange filing. The company said targeting growth of 20 per cent for 2019-20, despite muted outlook for the economy. Yes Bank, Cipla, Titan, IndusInd Bank, M&M, Hero Moto, Vedanta, Zee Entertainment, Sun Pharma, IOC, are among major gainers, losers are Adani Ports, Britannia, Coal India, Bharti Airtel. All the sectoral indices are trading in green led by metal, IT, auto and bank. Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee opened higher by 9 paise at 69.07  per dollar on Friday against previous close 69.16. HCL surges 4%,DHFL gains 14%,Godrej Properties rises 4%

HCL surges 4% - HCL Technologies shares rose 4 per cent to Rs 1,081 on the BSE in early morning trade. HCL Technologies was up 3 per cent at Rs 1,073 and was the top gainer among S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 index.  Tata Motors Falls - After S&P Rating Downgrade Shares of the Jaguar Land Rover-parent declined for the second trading session after falling as much as 1.4 per cent to a one-month low of Rs 167 per share. Tata Motors’ long-term rating was downgraded to ‘B+’ from ‘BB-’ by S&P.  DHFL gains 14% - Shares of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) moved 14 per cent higher to Rs 155 in intra-day trade on the BSE on Thursday on back of heavy volumes after reports emerged that Piramal Group and Baring Private Equity (PE) were in advanced stage of negotiations to acquire majority stake in the housing finance company.
