Sun Pharma Falls After Unit Taro Pharma Announces Q2 Results - Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries fell as much as 1.6 percent to Rs 431.05 after the company’s unit Taro Pharma announced its second-quarter results.


Rupee Opens: The Indian rupee opened lower by 8 paise at 70.85 per dollar on Tuesday versus previous close 70.77.

Yes, Bank gains nearly 9% after Jhunjhunwala buys the stake for Rs 86.89 crore - Shares of private lender Yes Bank rose nearly 9 percent in the early trade on November 5 after Rakesh Jhunjhunwala bought a stake in the company via open market transactions. Ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala bought 1.29 crore shares in private lender on November 4 through open market transactions.

Biocon rises 3% after co receives EIR from USFDA - Shares of Biocon added over 3 percent in the early trade on November 5 after the company received EIR from the USFDA. The company received an establishment inspection report (EIR) from the US Food and Drug Administration for its biologics drug product facility in Bengaluru, stating the inspection is closed, as per company release.

Bajaj Finance Gains After Launching QIP Shares of Bajaj Finance rose as much as 2.4 percent to Rs 4,210. The company launched its QIP Issue with floor price at Rs 4,019.78 per share. The floor price is at a discount of 2.3 percent to the previous closing price. The company will hold a meeting on Nov. 7 to approve the issue price which will be allotted to QIP buyers.

Oil rises more than 1 percent - Oil prices rose more than 1% on Monday, buoyed by an improved outlook for crude demand as better-than-expected U.S. jobs growth added to market hopes a preliminary U.S.-China trade deal would be reached this month. 

Brent crude futures for January rose 95 cents, or 1.5% to $62.64 a barrel by 12:37 p.m. CST (1837 GMT). December U.S. crude futures were up $1.09, or 1.9%, at $57.29 a barrel.

Gold price today: Yellow Metal down on trade optimism -Gold futures fell in early trade on November 5 as hopes of a U.S.-China trade pact bolstered the dollar and increased appetite for riskier assets. Gold December futures were trading with a negative bias at Rs 38,375 per 10 gram at 09:10 hours IST.

Stock Market News - Yellow metal hits fresh record high as Iran attacks US forces

On the MCX, gold contracts for February were trading higher by Rs 562, or 1.38 percent, at Rs 41,225 per 10 gram at 0920 hours. It hit a record high of 42,278 per 10 gm. India Gold February futures hit a fresh record high on January 8 tracking gains in international spot prices which surged past $1,600 an ounce mark after Iran fired rockets at Iraqi airbase which hosts US forces that triggered risk-off sentiment. Spot prices hit their highest since March 2013 at $1,610.90 earlier in the session. US gold futures rose 2 percent to $1,605.80. “The jump in the price of what’s viewed by investors as a safer asset in times of political and economic uncertainty came after Iran’s missile attack on US-led forces in Iraq early on Wednesday,” said a Reuters report. “The attack came hours after the funeral of an Iranian commander whose killing in a US drone strike has raised fears of a wider conflict in the Middle-East,” it said.
